Night Ministers
Recognizable by their black SFNM jackets with the magenta flame, Night Ministers walk the streets of San Francisco every night of the year. You might see them in plazas, doorways, bars, or quiet side streets—offering listening, care, and connection wherever it’s needed most. They often provide spiritual and emotional care, harm-reduction supplies, and practical support like socks, blankets, or Narcan.
Night Ministers walk beside those who are lonely, unhoused, or simply need someone to listen. But they’re not only there for others—they’re there for you, too.
If you see one, say hello. SFNM Night Ministers' presence is for the whole community.
Weekly, and Monthly Gatherings
Open Gatherings:
Open Gatherings bring people together across traditions to share reflection, prayer, and presence in community.
Each gathering offers space to come as you are, whoever you are, however you are. Whether you pray, sit in silence, or simply listen, you’re welcome here. Every gathering ends with a shared meal and conversation, because connection and care are essential.
